We were just
Iowa kids showing
cattle in 4-H...

Then we advanced with a Senior National Champion...

ORYS TIGER WOODS
Sire: LMB Elway 938

1999 Senior National Champion, NAILE
1999 Senior Champion, American Royal
1999 Junior Champion, Houston Livestock Show
1998 Grand Champion, Texas State Fair
1998 & 1999 Grand Champion, Tennessee State Fair
1998 & 1999 Reserve Grand Champion, Iowa State Fair
1997 Reserve Grand Champion, Tennessee State Fair

We have tested his progeny in our herd against numerous bulls in the top 10% of the breed. Tiger's calves always come to the top, with one exception - Ory's Cherokee McCue, whose dam is Tiger's full sister. Now, Tiger's daughters are proving to be some of the best cows we have ever owned!

I have not been able to update our web site, since we lost our beloved Tiger in April 2005. He lost his recip dam when he was born. We raised him on my bottle calf (that I could not sell). When he was 3 days old I made a little halter for him and he would go in with the show claves that were tied up and act like a show calf. Little did he know that such greatness would come of him. He loved going to the shows and being at the end of the aisle. I can not begin to tell you how many people petted him and took pictures. Denny and I still cannot talk about him. He is still missed every day.

WELCOME!

Our seedstock operation has been our livelihood for over 40 years. It has evolved from two kids with beef projects into an operation striving to produce cattle that will fit the commercial producers' needs. We have never followed the fads and extremes that have hurt so many operations.

Today, our cattle are larger and more efficient than when we began, but our selection criteria is much the same. We strive to breed cattle that are moderate framed, structurally correct, easy fleshing, with high fertility and carcass values to fit today's beef market.

At the same time, our cattle must have enough quality and eye appeal to be competitive in the show ring.

We welcome all inquiries and visitors any time!

When My daughter, Heather, started selling real estate, she and Jo Ann kept pressuring me to get my license. I must say, I am thankful they did. I have found selling real estate gives me an opportunity to meet people from all over the United States. Being a farmer and cattleman all of my life gives me a distinct edge on finding land and farms that will work for buyers.
